Summer 2015 Speaking Engagements
As summer comes to an end, our Attorneys have been busy with two speaking engagements in addition to their regular workshop schedule. On Friday, August 21st, Kenneth G. Potter, Esq. spoke to more than 40 local senior citizens at an event hosted by the West End and Penn Creek adult resource centers. His co-presenters were, Katrina Boyer of the PA Department of Banking, Bruce Teeple, a local historian, writer and speaker, and Jim White, an LPN with Lewisburg Home Heath. Ken’s presentation concentrated on estate planning, particularly powers of attorney and wills.
On Tuesday, September 1st, Karen L. Hackman, Esq. spoke to more than 70 local farmers at the Twilight Meeting sponsored by the Northumberland County Conservation District. Her co-presenters were John Bray, a Penn State Extension Educator, and Norm Conrad, the Northeast Regional Director for the National Center for Appropriate Technology. Karen’s presentation concentrated on the newly enacted Waters of the United States rule and the rule’s potential impact on local farms.
